of course I got sick… twice!
So, on the 28th, I caught my mom’s cold (?) again? And then, of course, just when I thought that I was in the clear, and that the cold had evacuated, it came back with a vengeance. I now have the worst possible head cold ever contracted. CRAP! I’m going to try to do at least 1/2 hour of cardio, but I don’t think that I should go running outside until the weekend, just to be safe.
Unfortunately, I will be delaying my return to running glory (training for that marathon) even more, but at least I’m keeping my heart rate up with the cardio-strength training I’ve been doing. MEH.
I have created an awesome training calendar (mostly based upon a Runner’s World marathon training schedule recommendation) until the Tacoma City Marathon on May 3rd. I can do it!

Yay! Finally got back to exercising!
Well, it’s been uh… a while since my last official exercise posting, but that has to do with the awkward triple-threat combo of my a)moving back to Seattle, b)non-stop holiday partying, and c) blanket of awful slush-snow covering my running routes. How awful is that? Yesterday, I bought a strength-training exercise video which is actually great. I need someone else to tell me to do squats and lunges.
Also, I bought new running shoes, since my others were all flat and used up. I am planning to try to rebuild the definite drop in my stamina by doing some intense indoor cardio until I can hit the streets of Seattle again. MELT, snow, melt!

Righteous Run
Well, I did a loop around the hospital campus today, which kind of went up and down all over the place. You see, the area around where I work is super-hilly. There’s not much that I can do about that. It was good weather to run, though. A bit humid, and 60 degrees. While the last mile was tough for having such a relentless incline, I am happy I did it. After all, it had been a long work day.

first time out since the flu
I wish that I hadn’t had the flu. There went four days of running! that’s all right. It was great getting back onto the road after my recovery period, and hitting the hill on Franklin Street was fun! Hopefully, I’ll have it worked out so that I can get the amount of miles in over the next week that I’d like to.
